I know it's been a while but let's skip this part that I will explain later.
Let's dedicate this post entirely to Mr. and Mrs. Kurtz.
They got married last month. I feel so honored for have been their photographer. As I was editing their pictures I was thinking " See that's why I love weddings". Jeremy was so thrilled and excited to see Molly. I felt he was a little nervous and I thought that's what makes everything so special ... the butterflies in your stomach, the sweaty hands, you forget to breathe ... Molly was absolutely gorgeous. I know why Jeremy was kinda nervous and couldn't relax. He was about to get married to this lovely beautiful women dressed so elegant. I want to say to you guys THANK YOU for letting me witness all of that intimate moment of your lives. I loved being with you guys and among your family, friends and loved ones. I wish you both a life full of joy and hapiness. Enjoy a bit of that sweet day.

3rd Annual Worldwide Photowalk 2010

On July 24th I joined a group of 50 photographers on the 3rd Annual Worldwide Photowalk that happens every year ... in the middle of summer. Why in the summer? It was so so hot. I believe it was 104F if I'm not wrong. But I survived. We started the walk in Tempe and then we headed out to Phoenix Downtown taking the lightrail. Such a relief because we could have a brake with the AC. I had lots of fun ad met lots of new people. That walk was created by a photographer called Scott Kelby and he decided to make it official all over the world. So last Saturday over 30,000 people in different countries were on the streets taking pictures. At the end of all that they offer prizes to the best photographs. I don't know if I'll get any prize for the pictures I shot but it was totally worth attending the photowalk. The leader of my walk was Mark Wallace. Pretty awesome to get to know him.

The Millirons - Mesa,AZ { Arizona Wedding Photographer }

I'm so excited to finally post Anamin and Shane's pictures here on my blog. I took some pictures of them weeks before their wedding day and my hands were itching to share their pictures with all of you. I had to be a patient person and wait right? So, now that they have been sealed for the eternity and they are off to their honeymoon I can keep myself busy editing pictures and posting my favorite ones. I so enjoyed being their photographer and I have to tell that the bride couldn’t be sweeter than already she is. Anamin is a doll. Love her smile. Shane is absolutely a great guy in front of the camera. A 100 of pictures are not enough for him because he can’t get enough of them and he is always ready to pose for the camera. I thought that was pretty nice. I felt so welcomed that I thought like being their best friends taking their pictures. Awesome feeling! And I got mention the homeless friend we found along our photo session who kept following us entertaining and preaching the couple about marriage. Hilarious and very helpful to keep Anamin and Shane relaxed over lots of laughter. Tyler, Shane’s brother made a video and guys I really really want a copy of it. I watched some of it at the reception but I have to see it all sometime soon. Anyways, I would like to thank all your family and bridesmaids and groomsmen who were such troopers under the humid heat we had on that morning for photo shoot. Thanks to all of you! To Anamin and Shane, I love you guys and thank you for picking me out there to photograph a special moment in your lives. That means a lot to me. Wish you guys a world full of happiness in your new start in life as a couple – and what a cute couple you guys are together. Enjoy your honeymoon!!!!

Megan and Dan wedding day - Tempe,AZ { Arizona Wedding Photographer }

Here are some pictures of Megan and Dan's wedding last month. They got married at the Tempe Arts Center in a beautiful afternoon last month. That couple was just so fun to work with and I enjoyed every minute being part of their special day. It was kinda of a destination wedding once most of their guests flew in to Phoenix from Michigan for Megan and Dan who are from over there. They have been living here since last year or so. Both enjoy art and music and the location for their wedding couldn't suit it better. Here are some pictures ... I mean lots of them for a post I know. But I hope that you who are looking those pictures feel a little bit of what the day was like. Fun, fun fun. Megan and Dan I wish you a great live together. Here is a great family that met me early morning in the weekend to have some family pictures done. Hope yu guys like your pictures and think it was worth the sacrifice. I'm saying like that not because they were grumpy people during the photo session - totally the opposite. They were great in front of the camera. I'm just saying that we needed to sneak at that location very early in the morning so we could have the place just for us. And yeah, there was nobody there except an old lady with her 2 dogs that loved playing with Jack.

Baby Oscar is here - Mesa,AZ { Arizona Newborn Photographer }

I want to introduce you this little guy, my nephew Oscar. He was just 3 days old when I took these pictures last week. But I know you must be thinking he is a little too big for being just that old right? Baby boy "O" was born with 9lb. 9oz and 22 inches. I am just in love with him. Big strong hairy baby.

I always tell my husband that when we have our own baby I really don't want to have a bald baby. Not that I don't love them as well but babies with lots of hair on their heads just make me fall in love at first site. But if I'm gonna have a bald baby it's fine ... I will love him/her unconditionally .... except for the lack of hair - laugh.

But anyways, here are some of the pictures I snapped of this adorable baby boy. I could take some without his pacifier but some I just couldn't win against him. I still think the ones with the binky look very cute though. I just can't get enough of baby "O". We love you!!

Guys this is Matthew. A great guy I met last weekend! Graduating from high school class of 2010. I really enjoyed spending time with him. Usually guys are not much into pictures, posing, looking, colaborating, you know. But Matthew was totally excited for his pictures. When we met he was all dressed up very handsome. After that he took me to a hallway of graffiti walls. Soooooo fun! I loved it. He was really looking foward on having some of his pictures with the graffiti walls. So great. Matthew is now finishing a fase on his life and starting another. Lots of good things from now on. He wants to join the Airforce. I am totally in love with these pictures. This is Nichelle, my sweet sister-in-law. She is expecting a baby boy and I can't wait to meet her little guy. Now that Mother's Day is over I can post some of this session. If you follow my blog you probably remember these beautiful faces. I met their family last year and since then I have worked with them 3 times so far. Isn't that great? I love love when old clients contact me again. I met this wonderful family last April. It was a sunny day but so windyyyy. Having 3 beautiful girls to pose to me it was quite a challenge to keep their hair down in place. But they were a good sport dealing with the windy, torns from the desert, my demanding on doing this and going there and also I have to thank Jen's husband for moving the chair up, down, left , right. Hi everybody!! I know ... I have been a little gipsy lately. I'll be out of the office again.

I'll be out of contact from April 16th until April 21st. I'm not gonna be able to answers phone calls and such. So, on April 22nd I'll be back answering emails, phone calls and facebook messages.

Yeah, here is the winner Kathryn with his loved one Michael. They are getting married in June in Las Vegas where they are both from.I'm so excited for them.
So, last weekend we headed to Phoenix to get some engagement shots. I thank them for being great at accepting all of my crazy posing and changing and turning arounds. I know I'm bossy (laugh). They are very nice people and I had fun at our photo session. It's always good to meet new people.

Why does it feel so good to have a client contact you and ask for your photography services again??? Last month Sarah, a returning client, emailed me and maybe she doesn't know that but she made my day. So good to see her again. She wanted to check if I was available to do some pictures for her grandma 84th birthday party plus some family shots. I was so happy she wanted to have me there being around her family on such a special day for all of them. Everybody was so excited to throw a party to Grandma and celebrate her day. Thanks Sarah and her mom called Bernadette and I insisted to call her Brenda : ( Sorry Bernadette. Thanks for having me there and for being so nice to me. For those who were at the party but you can't find any individual pictures of you here I do have them. I couldn't post all of them. They are all coming in the CD though. Here is a picture of Grandma getting at the house. I guess she found out something was a little suspicious. But I believe it was still a surprise for her.

And she was surrounded by family and friends.

This one here is my favorite picture. This is grandma with her greatgrandchild. As I looked to this picture at home it kinda brought tears to my eyes. It made me think how life is precious and just amazing. It walks in a circle that there is no way we can stop it but it can be enjoyed fully if we choose to do so. Grandma was one day a little baby like baby "S" and today she is a woman with lots of stories and experience to share. Baby "S" has a full ggreat life to live in front of him. Look how beautiful is the look the 2 different generations give to each other. And what a sweet kiss from greatgrandma .... And them mingling among family and friends and lots of food we still had time to go back to the yard and take some portraits. For those who like pictures we got some. Last saturday I met with Kiely and Eric in Phoenix Downtown for some engagement shots. What an awesome couple from Seattle!

Ok, to get to meet them it was such a lame episode on the way. I got stuck on the freeway trying to get there and so did they. There was some work on the road that got down to just 1 lane open on the freeway. I was so concerned about the light and getting over there late for pictures that I was afraid we couldn't get good pictures when I finally got at the location. Crazy saturday afternoon on the freeway.

But anyways, we got some evening shots and we had so much fun ... I felt like we did!! That was the first time I met Kiely and Eric. I loved working with them. They are getting married in May and I'm so excited for their big day. Congratulations on your engagement guys! Hope you like your pictures as much as I do.

I have been a busy bee lately. All of the holiday stuff, family coming to town, photo sessions, editing and editing.

These people made my day today. I love doing photography cause I get to meet so many good people. And a photo session turns into a date with wonderful people. These are the Grays. We had such a sunny day and the afternoon was perfect. I was so happy cause we have had crazy light lately for outdoor pictures. But anyways, I was hanging out with these adorable people today. We got some good pictures and as I was editing I stumble at the little girl "M"s picture and I felt in love. What a beautiful girl!! And let me talk about the other ones too. The oldest one is so sweet and the boy is just so so darn cute. I'm loving photography. I'm loving to have the power of stopping time just for a little awhile. Oh wow, I'm editing like crazy trying to make all my clients happy. That way they have some pictures ready for Xmas cards just in time. I got at the Mesa Temple early morning just to walk around and was thinking about when my husband and me were walking around the Mesa Temple with our photographer almost 3 years ago when we got married. That's when we get all the attention of the people that walks by. So, anyways, today was someone's turn lololo I met with this beautiful couple at the Temple. Jason and Brittny got sealed today and I'm so happy for them. Newlyweds and full of love for each other. This is so neat!

The Agnews also wanted some family portraits to include everyone in the family. One more nice shot here and another there. They look great in front of the camera. And baby Klinton got have all the attention. I got also give a big thank you to Kristen for the props. She was so nice letting me use that cute vintage stroller and the little wood bed. The Agnews have a very special addition in their family that got here on the first week of November. Almost on my birthday lolololo Yeah Klinton wanted to have his own special day to be born. And what a beautiful baby boy he is.
This is the second time I meet with this adorable family. Melanie found me online wanting to have some maternity pictures done last month. I'm so glad she picked me again to spend some time with her family as a photographer. I had such a great time with them again. And I'm so happy for you guys. Hope you spend as much time as you can with the little one and of course giving some attention to the Big sister. Thank you so much!!!!

The temperature this afternoon was very nice. Not hot, not cold ... perfect!! And then I met these lovely people. This very cute family was wearing very cute boots. Clark was full of energy running and jumping, but not into the pictures lololo But you know what, I loved all of the pictures and all the colors. I really liked how they turned out.

My sister-in-law and her adorable family are moving to the Caribbean Islands and asked me for a photo session. It was so much fun. My nephews are so cute and I can't believe they have grown that much. Raymond is only 4 and Henry just turned 2. Today is my bday and I feel so good!!! Old ,of course, but happy I got to enjoy one more year of life. I also got a chance to see one of those cute people through my lens. That is a gift! A big thanks to her mommy Mercedes, who is an adorable person.

And this is baby "S". She is so adorable. She is so cute. And she didn't complain a thing during her session. It was totally worth it little girl! We got awesome shots of you! Thank you for being such a patient baby.

I had so much fun with these people. They are so great that I just don't have words to describe. They took me along with them and that way I took the pictures. I loved that cause it was so not feeling like a "photo session". It was just a fun afternoon at the farm having fun and keeping the kiddos busy. What is fun is that the gradma of the family (who doesn't really look like a gradma) had 3 beautiful girls. And those girls together had 3 smart boys. And all together are just amazing! Melanie is expecting her second child. It's a boy this time. So exciting!!! Melanie contacted me saying that she wanted some maternity pictures and it was a pleasure for me to be her photographer for this so special moment. She is about to " pop" (her own words lololo) . She can have the baby anytime. Melanie brought with her her husband KC, and I need to thank him for being such a good sport for the photo session. Also their daughter made her present and she is just so cute that make me wanting to have my own kids. Melanie hope you have a restful time having your baby boy. I think this one was a good one. Little girl "P" looks like she is totally jealous about her baby brother coming and taking some of everybody's attention. But actually she is just so adorable and was kissing mommy's belly : )

It was so so so cold. I was freezing and poor baby girl that need to come along with her parents. This young couple are just so cute and super photogenic. Bonnie is such a sweet person. When she told me she had a collection of hats I got so excited for this photo shoot. I drove to meet with this little guy in Phoenix. I had a blast and he wasn't too comfortable with someone putting him in a basket prettending that he was lost in the middle of a paradise .lolololol Your sisters and your mom joined you in a couple of your pictures. These two made my day. Krystle came over to the Mesa Arts Center with her best buddy, Guiness. Oh my gosh, I totally forgot to ask her what kind of dog she had and I could bet it was a little one. We didn't know if we could have the pictures done over there, so we took a chance. ANd thanks Guiness you are so lovely and big as a horse! What a cool dog!! He opened the path for us to walk around the Arts Center. Today was a hot 3 digit temperature (114 F) and I thought I wouldn't be able to leave the comfort of my AC at home. It's been so hot it seems my AC in my car is not working. But anyways, a friend of mine Lina was having a party for girls. She asked to take some pictures and here they are. She is from Colombia and she was introducing to her friends the beauty of bracelets, earings and necklaces made with seeds. Those are very pretty, exotic and elegant. { WHAT TO DRESS}

Here are five steps can help you on choosing what you are gonna wear for you session. Good luck and hope to see you very cute!!

{one: color coordinate}

* Color coordinate without matching one another too much
* Find a color or two and use different shades on everyone
* Coordinate colors without everyone wearing pants (e.g. girls in dresses)
* Try not to overdo the colors you choose, trying have some people in the picture just have a slight color pop (e.g. red shirt popping out of a blazer or bring out your color in just accessories)

{two: don’t be afraid}

* Don’t be afraid to use patterns
* Find one or two fun patterns and use that as your base
* If one or two people in the picture are in patterns, the rest should be in coordinating solids to match

{three: redo the traditional}

* Go simple and traditional but add something new
* Do traditional colors in a trendy fashion
* Do white or black with fun accessories or props
* Go simple clothing but use a bright and fun location

{four: go for style}

* Use bright colors
* Get fun shoes (colorful shoes, impractical shoes, boots)
* Accessories (hats, scarfs, hair pieces, belts, glasses)

* Go vintage
